iPhone OS 3.0

iOS 3.0I bought the new version of the iPhone OS for my iPod touch, and it seems like pretty small changes. Of course, Apple added the anticipated bluetooth and the awaited spotlight search, but they also have tweaked many other aspects of iTunes, the App Store, Music and Settings.

The app store seems to have changed many of its design elements, and screenshots are now displayed portrait only in a scrollable panel that sticks to the screen when you scroll down to it. There is better iTunes account integration with stuff like the App Store and iTunes, as you can now tap your email and you will be shown your account settings.

Generally the speed of the device - IE exiting and entering programs has been improved. For instance, it seems to respond faster when you hit the home button while in music.

If you own an iPhone or iPod touch most of the changes are easy enough to notice, and they're all positive as far as I can find so far. Even though Apple charged £5.99 for it...
